2020-07-31 by S. Bell 2 Comments

This article analyses the topical genital herpes treatment with the use of ointments. In the analysis I explain the cases of conventional drugs, natural medicine and options of alternative medicine which currently boasts a very effective genital herpes ointment. The formula and the procedure to prepare this ointment are available in The Ultimate Herpes Protocol, a book where its author explains how we can eliminate the virus in less than 60 days.

Genital herpes is a skin disease which is manifested by blisters and sores in the area of the genital organs and nearby areas. This disease is caused by a virus, primarily by the herpes simplex virus type 2. It can also be caused by the herpes simplex virus type 1, but with less likely.

Many people think the treatment of herpes must be externally because it is a disease that manifests on the skin. However, while topical treatments are used, they do not fight the cause, but the effect of the disease. Anyway the topical genital herpes treatment is a variant to reduce the time and duration of the outbreaks.

Types of genital herpes treatments [↑]

Treatments for genital herpes, according to the origin of the used remedies, can be divided into two big groups. To the first group belong the treatments that are based on the use of chemical drugs, to the second group, methods that use alternative procedures.

Genital herpes treatments can also be divided into internal, external or topical, and combined, according to their area of application. Internal treatments are those that are applied to the entire organism and they rely on taking tablets or the use of injections. External or topical treatments are those in which the remedy is applied only on the skin, while the combined treatments include procedures of both types.

Genital herpes is more difficult to treat externally than cold sores and other types of herpes that attack the upper part of the body. This is because the genital organs are more delicate than the lips and other organs where the virus tends to attack. For this reason we must be very careful when it comes to fight herpes genitalis with topical treatments.

Topical genital herpes treatment using Acyclovir Ointment [↑]

One of the drugs most widely used to fight genital herpes is Acyclovir. It has antiviral functions that stop the reproduction of the virus and it is available in varied forms: tablets, injections, creams and ointments. Tablets and injections are used for the internal treatment of herpes and the creams and ointments for external treatment. Acyclovir cream is contraindicated for the treatment of herpes genitalis; in this case, the application of the ointment is recommended.

Many people ignore the differences between cream and ointment. Which are the differences between these mixtures?

At 77 Fahrenheit degrees the pharmaceutical forms are divided in liquid forms, solid forms and semisolid forms. The ointments and creams are semisolid forms that differ in their content of water. Ointments don’t contain water or they contain it in minimum quantity. The creams contain more water than the ointments; their content of water sometimes overcomes 50%.

Acyclovir Ointment heads the topical genital herpes medication; it should be applied in the areas affected by genital herpes three times a day for seven days. It is more effective if we begin its use when an outbreak is beginning. You can apply this ointment in the genital organs and in their near areas.

Some precautions must be taken during the treatment with Acyclovir Ointment. As this treatment is only topical, you should avoid the ointment to make contact with the mouth, nose and eyes. Also its intake should be avoided.

To apply the Acyclovir Ointment we must wash our hands thoroughly, use a glove to protect the finger we are going to use and cover with ointment all areas affected by herpes, avoiding not muddy areas not affected. After application of the ointment we must remove the glove and wash our hands thoroughly.

The harmful side effects of the Acyclovir Ointment are light and not very frequent. This medication only acts on the signs of the disease, because even when the sores and blisters go away, the virus will remain in the nervous tissues of our body: the outbreaks can appear again when your immune system weakens or during stressful situations.

Natural treatment for genital herpes using HBO Ointment [↑]

Ointment of honey of bee, beeswax and olive oil (HBO Ointment) is a very effective mixture prepared at home to fight herpes in near areas to the genitals.

The bee honey has antiseptic, antimicrobial and healing properties which can vary according to its type. The type of honey depends from the flowers of where the nectar has been extracted and from the bee type that produces it.

We know bees incorporate to the honey an enzyme called glucose oxidase which causes the local liberation of peroxide of hydrogen when the honey is applied on the wounds.

The wax of bees is a compound that has a low specific weight and it is constituted by an alcohol and sour palmitic. The wax has anti-inflammatory and healing properties.

A very effective ointment to fight the outbreaks of herpes in areas near to the genitals is prepared with honey, beeswax and olive oil (HBO Ointment), according to a recipe that appears in the book “The Ultimate Herpes Protocol”. In experiments conducted at a medical center in Dubai it was found this mixture is more effective than Acyclovir because it reduces healing time by 59% and has no side effects to health. Furthermore, it is very economical compared with Acyclovir and Tea Tree Ointment.

The book “The Ultimate Herpes Protocol” contains a medical protocol based on alternative medicine to cure genital herpes definitely. Aforementioned ointment is one of the products to treat outbreaks that appear in this book, but the fundamental contents of the book consists of a method structured in three stages to eliminate the virus from the body forever within a period of 60 days. This protocol was conceived to kill herpes virus.

If you suffer from herpes and want to finish with the annoying outbreaks forever, you can download the book from its official site. The Ultimate Herpes Protocol is the most effective herpes treatment.

Topical treatment of herpes genitalis using Tea Tree Ointment [↑]

Tea Tree Ointment is obtained from the extract of oil of the tea tree. It is a genital herpes topical treatment over the counter. Tea has antiviral properties and it has been used in the treatment of several conditions since long ago. This ointment also has utility for the treatment of cold sores and it does not have harmful side effects to our health.

Many people name this ointment “antiseptic cream of the tea tree” or “antiseptic tea tree cream”, but this compound is not a cream because it contains very little quantity of water.

Tea Tree Ointment is applied on the affected area twice a day until the herpes infection is gone. This product does not eliminate the virus from the body (only removes the buds) and a pot of 120 ml is sold at a price of about 40 USD.

Topical treatment for genital herpes using Lemon Balm [↑]

The word balm has different meanings. The first meaning of this word conceives that a balm is an aromatic substance, obtained from certain trees by means of incision. It is liquid and almost transparent in the moment of the extraction, but because of the action of the atmosphere the essential oils this substance contains become resin, benzoic acid and cinnamic acid.

The medical meaning of the word balm consists on a compound medication from aromatic substances which is applied like remedy to sores, wounds and other illnesses.

Lemon balm is the common name of a medicinal herb whose scientific name is Melissa Officinalis. This herb is associated to the lemon because their leaves and shaft have lemon scent when they are mashed. This plant is not a balm in the sense of the previous definitions.

Lemon Balm can be used for the treatment of several illnesses. It is effective against throbs and stress. This herb also has antiviral properties: it is effective for the treatment of genital herpes. It has been demonstrated in scientific studies the use of this plant diminishes the duration of the outbreaks of herpes and frequency of its appearance.

Lemon Balm is available in capsules, cream, ointment and bags for tee. The Lemon Balm ointment is effective for topical genital herpes treatment. It is an over the counter genital herpes ointment.

The treatment of genital herpes with Lemon Balm is carried out placing the ointment in ulcers and other affected areas twice a day until the outbreaks have disappeared.

This natural treatment doesn’t eliminate the virus of the herpes from our body, but it helps to control the outbreaks without noxious side effects to our health.

Comparison of topical genital herpes treatments [↑]

The four topical genital herpes treatments exposed in this article (Table 1) are effective against genital herpes, but we recommend you the HBO Ointment (honey of bee, beeswax and olive oil) in zones near to the genitals because it is the most effective and it doesn’t have harmful effects. All these treatments, except Acyclovir ointment, are over the counter topical genital herpes treatments. None of them eliminates the virus. If you want a treatment that eliminates the virus, you should use “The Ultimate Herpes Protocol”.

Table 1: Topical genital herpes treatment using ointments and balms
Treatment Type Frequency of application Period of application
Acyclovir Ointment Antiviral chemical drug Three times a day During the outbreaks
HBO Ointment  Natural Four times a day During the outbreaks
Tea Tree Ointment Natural Twice a day During the outbreaks
Lemon Balm Natural Twice a day During the outbreaks

Conclusions

Topical treatment of genital herpes with Acyclovir should be carried out using the ointment and not the cream.

The treatment of genital herpes with ointments requires caution due to the delicacy of genital areas.

Genital herpes treatment using ointments doesn’t have noxious side effects for your health, but it doesn’t eliminate herpes virus from your body.

Ointment from bee honey, beeswax and olive oil is the most effective topical genital herpes treatment in regions near to the genitals.

Creams and ointments are used to fight the herpes outbreak. Their application reduces the healing time, but they do not eliminate the virus. You are right.
